Danny Dean Shilhanek

September 20, 1959 - December 7, 2015

Danny Dean Shilhanek died peacefully in Albany, OR on December 7, 2015 at the age of 56 after a seven year battle with carcinoid cancer. Danny is survived by his wife Jenny, children Samantha Ireland (her husband Keegan Ireland, and his two grandchildren Konnor and Rhilynn), Taylor Shilhanek and Brody Shilhanek, his parents Neal and Eula Shilhanek, and his sister Denise Shilhanek and her three children.

Danny was born on September 20, 1959 in Albany, OR to Neal and Eula Shilhanek. He graduated from Cascade High School in 1977. He married Jenny in 1983. In 1986 they welcomed their first child, Samantha into their lives. in 1987 Danny and his father Neal started their plumbing company II-S Mechanical, Inc., and it's still going today. He had two more children, his second daughter Taylor in 1988 and his son Brody in 1994.

Danny was an active outdoorsman, always out hunting and fishing. He loved to spend time outdoors with his family and friends. He was an incredibly hard worker and an amazing husband and father.

A funeral is scheduled for Friday December 11, 2015 at 2:00pm at Immanuel Lutheran Church (510 Idylwood Dr. SE, Salem, OR 97302), with a reception to follow at the church. Danny's pastor Craig Wasser will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Danny's life. There will also be a celebration of life at Dale Moore's house following the church reception. Condolences may be sent to the family at 4725 Marion Hill Rd. SE Turner, OR 97392.
