Dean Sponable

March 17, 1953 - January 6, 2012

SALEM -Dean Sponable went to his permanent home in Heaven on January 6, 2012 after 25 years of struggling with the after effects of an aggressive form of brain cancer.

Dean was born in Denver, CO to Carol Eileen and Harry Morton Sponable. He became a Christian in Savannah, GA at a youth hostile that was part of Youth Revival Centers, Inc.(Shiloh). He married his life partner, Diana J. Voris in 1974 at the YRC's bible school in Dexter, OR. Dean and Diana moved to Salem, OR in 1978.

Dean is survived by his mother, his wife, his mother-in-law, Janet Voris; his two children, CPT Susan Sponable (Army), David Russell and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and his son, Don Andrae.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 11th from 2-7 PM and on Thursday, January 12th from 10-4 PM. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, on Thursday, January 12th all at City View Funeral Home. Private interment will be in Belcrest Memorial Park.

The family would like to thank the staff and residents of Tierra Rose Care Center for the excellent care he received while living at the facility.
