Dolores I. Roth

July 6, 1920 - January 27, 2015

Dolores I. Roth grew up on her family's farm in North Dakota with her parents, eight brothers and one sister. After High School she attended Dickinson Teachers College and became a teacher in Grant County, ND. She married the man of her dreams, Emil G. Roth, on August 3, 1947. They were part owners of Roth's Meat Market in Elgin, ND until 1950 when they moved to Salem, OR. In 1952 they built the home of their dreams where she lived until her death. Dolores also worked at various canneries in Salem from 1959-1982.

Her passions were enjoying her three grandchildren and five great grandchildren, her many trips to Hawaii, gardening, cooking and entertaining family and friends.

Dolores was preceded in death by her husband Emil Roth, parents, brothers and sister. She is survived by her daughters LaVonne (Donald) Pahia and Kathleen Sliter. Three grandchildren Nalani (Cedric) Kay, Lehua (Pierre) Elliott & Vincent Sliter. Five great grandchildren Jordan, Moananui, Aidan, Mahina, & Ava. Three sister-in-laws Madeline Bliss, Ann Roth & Bunny Zeller, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Christ the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Salem on Monday February 9th with viewing at 10:00 A.M., service at 11:00 A.M. and a reception to follow in the church Fellowship Hall. Burial will be at Belcrest Memorial Park.
