My daughter was a gymnast and we always enjoyed Genie as a judge. I think she was generous and felt girls needed to have a positive experience when scoring their events. She was the positive yin to the negative yang. Genie was always smiling and encouraging . The girls loved her as did coaches and parents. Genie was a gift to many and may you be comforted by her sweet memories.

Such a beautiful soul, wonderful person and amazing gymnastics judge. Heaven has indeed gained an angel. She was very special to me, as she judged me over 30 years ago as a High School gymnast and throughout my coaching career a highlight for me and my athletes at every meet she was judging. I loved her--as did so many,You will always live in our hearts and prayers, I will will cherish the memories forever.

A beautiful soul, heaven as gained an angel. I have so many wonderful memories of Genie, so sad to hear of her passing. She was loved by everyone that met her and the gymnastics community is mourning the loss of a treasured family member. I loved her--she was an exceptional judge and exceptional human being. What a wonderful lady with energy, love and care for everyone. You were so blessed to have her in your family's lives. I will miss her smile and enthusiasm. My extended family knew her as the "nicest gymnastics judge" and I knew her as one of my favorite PEO friends! Love, Sue Rende
