I was thinking about Julie yesterday, 3 December 2020, and decided to look for her on the internet, which led me to this obituary. I am shocked and saddened to hear of passing! I met Julie in 1984 at our Army Reserve unit, the 45th Station Hospital in Vancouver, Washington. We dated and became very close. I met her adoptive father and her sister Sally. Julie and I were very active - running, hiking and cross country skiing. We traveled to the coast and several times to Mount Hood. We might have made a life together had I not been required to move out of state by my employer, the VA Department of Medicine and Surgery. We visited with each other once after that, and then our lives went in separate directions. I am so happy that she connected with her birth mother and family, and that she had a life full of love. Angelic. Being a nurse seemed perfect for her demeanor. Kindness. Smiling eyes. Warmth. Life was better when near her.
Loving memories abound.

I was saddened to see Julie's obituary. We were Tuality junior high, Tigard high and Willamette University friends. I have fond memories of the hours we spent at swim practice for the high school team, living down the hall from each other our freshman year in college and pledging the same sorority. The picture I'm sharing is from 1973. Julie was a server at my wedding. You will be missed Critter. Be at peace.

Where to start? Kindergarden in Tigard? "The First Encounter." Six decades of cheerfullness, wisdom, pranks, compassion and real, genuine, care for all. A love of gardening. A deep and abiding love of Gerry, so she is welcomed to their new Home. That's as good as can be. While here, she shared true Goodness, with everyone. A real, Lady, if ever there was.

Sorry to learn of her death. I know she meant a lot to Opal.
