I am deeply saddened to learn of the loss of this brilliant and talented young man. I refer to him as a young man, because he still seems like little brother Ken to me. We had lots of fun being silly together with Melodi...like singing "Shrimp Boats are Coming" in the living room, plunking out the tune on an old piano.
Ken, I remember how proud we all were when you went back to Washington DC for your award. We are still proud of you and love you dearly. May you rest in sweet peace. You are deeply missed. With much love, your "other" big sisiter, Janell

As children, whenever our families spent time together, our big cousin Ken made sure my brother and I felt valued. Memories of Atari, Monopoly, baseball in the park, and his hand-me-down Yankee shirt serve as testaments to Ken's mastery of those kind little gestures that matter most, especially to a child. Ken was a class act and one of my most influential role models. To me, he is still larger than life and will be sorely missed.

My heart breaks for my sister, Maggie Jo. I have memories of Ken as a little boy and he was always so special. He was bright and caring. I'm thankful that I saw him briefly in August and gave him a hug. My love to Maggie Jo, Bob, Melodi, Cameron, Sophia and his whole family and loved ones.
