Richard Borchers Obituary
1936 - May 20, 2012
SALEM - Dick Borchers passed away suddenly Sunday morning, May 20th. He was born to Carl and Mary Borchers. At the age of 19 he married Bernadette. Together they had four children. Dick and Bernadette were in the Furniture and Auction Business in the Salem area for over 40 years at the time of her death in 2003. Since her death, Dick was still running his business Action Liquidators.
He is loved and will be missed by his family. Dad will be remembered as a man of simple means who enjoyed reminiscing about the good 'ole days. Sometimes misunderstood by many; a man who never beat around the bush, but truly had a big, kind, heart and would do anything for his family or a friend.
He is survived by his sons Rick and wife Chris, Randy, Rory and wife Sue, and daughter Ronda Borchers all of Salem. Brothers, Carl Borchers and wife Gladys, Don Borchers and wife Esther, sister in law Karen Borchers, 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Bernadette, his mom and dad and brothers Frank and Robert (Bob) Borchers.
Services will be held May 25, 2012 at Queen of Peace Church, 4170 Pullman Ave SE, Salem OR, at 4 p.m.
