Richard Edward Morrow

November 1, 1951 - March 26, 2016

Salem - Rick passed peacefully from this life at the age of 64 on the afternoon of March 26th after a decline in health from interstitial lung disease. During the last days of his life he was surrounded and supported by his loving family. Rick was born in Salem, OR where he lived his entire life, raised a family and worked with his brother John. Growing up, Rick enjoyed motocross racing and playing roller hockey. He and his wife Barbara of 47 years started dating at the age of 15 after they met at the roller rink in Dallas, OR. After marrying Barbara, he entered the workforce at age 17 as the youngest member of the Operating Engineers Union, where he worked as a tower crane operator. In 1973 Rick joined his brother John at Morrow Crane Company where over the last 40 years they built the largest tower crane company in the United States, and proceeded to open offices worldwide. Most of all, he loved spending time and traveling with his family, construction, and building his homes and the family ranch. Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Pauline Morrow. Rick is survived by his wife, Barbara, two children and their spouses: Andrew (Julie) Morrow, Christina (David) Vogt; six grandchildren: Madison Murphy, Olivia Morrow, Ryleigh Murphy, Joren Clowers, and Ethan and Austin Vogt, two brothers: Bobby Morrow and John (Marise) Morrow, and a sister, Margie Morrow.
