William Donald "Don" Moreland

GRESHAM - Don died Tuesday at the Mt. Hood Medical Center in Gresham.He was born in Albany, the son of Arthur W. and Pearl E. (Burwell) Moreland. He attended Albany schools and then was a dairy farmer until he was 48. He then got his insurance license and represented New York Life in Albany until retiring in the mid-1980’s. He most recently lived in Gresham.Don was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Life Underwriters, and Kiwanis. He made stained glass and cemented glass stands as a hobby.Don married M. Gertrude Bever on October 24, 1938 in Clarkston, Washington. She preceded him in death on May 16, 1996.Don married Jene Dimick in 1997 in Albany. She preceded him in death.He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Rita and Brian Crockwell of Gresham; grandchildren, Mark and Samantha; and very special friend, Carolyn Day of Gresham. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.Memorial Services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sat., April 8, 2006 at United Presbyterian Church of Albany.
