Bonnie Bailey Obituary

Bonnie Jean Bailey STATESVILLE Mrs. Bonnie Jean Bailey, 70, of 714 Allen Creek Rd., Statesville, entered into eternal rest Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, following an extended illness. She was the daughter of Mrs. Eva Rankin Parker, and was born in Iredell County April 11, 1942. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Curlee Bailey; two sons, Paul Curlee, Jr., and Tony M. Parker; one sister, Rita Parker; a brother, Wade Parker, Jr.; and in-laws Curlee and Susie Bailey. She attended the Iredell County public schools. She was a member of Logan Presbyterian Church in Statesville. In addition to her mother, Mrs. Eva Rankin Parker, survivors include, a son, Phillip Maurice Bailey; her caregiver, of Mooresville; four daughters, Anita M. Linney, of Harmony, Cynthia J. Feimster, of Newton, and Carolyn D. Bailey and P. Michelle Bailey, both of Statesville; one sister, Doris Parker Lewis, of Statesville; 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grand-children; and a host of special siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, including two specials, Valetha Reid and Loretta Rankin, both of Statesville, other relatives and friends, including a special friend, Carolyn Allison, of Statesville. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, Oct. 22, at 1 p.m. at Logan Presbyterian Church, USA. Dr. Samuel Stevenson will officiate. Mrs. Bailey will remain at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home until taken to the church to lie in state at 12 p.m. Members of the family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 to 1 p.m., but will assemble at the residence of her daughter, Carolyn Bailey, 1312 Fourth Street, Statesville, at other times.
