Jonas Campbell Obituary
October 2, 1980 - April 29, 2024
Jonas Nathaniel Campbell, 43, of Statesville, passed away unexpectedly April 29, 2024 at his home. He was born October 2, 1980 in Iredell County to the late Sherri Denise Owens and Edward Roy Campbell of Statesville. Jonas was a hard worker and devoted many years to his concrete business. He was well known for being a free spirit, a good friend and a great father. He lived life to the fullest every day and always had a smile on his face. He loved spending time with his children and his family. Jonas always had a positive outlook on life and he loved to make people laugh. Jonas attended Poplar Springs Church of God. In addition to his mother, Jonas is preceded in death by his stepfather Wayne Owens.
Survivors include his significant other Angelina Velez of the home; one son, Ethan Day of Morganton; two daughters, Carson Paul and Stella Grace Morabito of Statesville; three brothers, Jesse Wayne Owens and wife Lindsay; along with his niece Gentry Gibson; and nephews Jackson Owens of Mooresville, Gary Wayne Owens (Jessica) of Statesville, Wayne Leroy Owens III of Statesville.
A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Rocky Hill Baptist Church (823 Mountain View Rd, Statesville, NC 28625). Pastor Tom Dale will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12 to 2 p.m. at the church.
Chapman Funeral Home is serving the Campbell family.

I was friends with Jonas Parents when he was born knew him as a child. Jonas parents had it hard back then but they made it thru. I was welcome in his grandfather's home and his father's home Glen Alma Frank and now Jonas all passed way to soon I hope Jonas passing doesn't cause his women or children to struggle, Jonas turn out well Ed and Sherry did there best.To jonas father it is unreal how your people pass unexpected I can't imagine what it's like to lose Sherry and Jonas I hope you find comfort in your grand children and your pain is bearable I've always considered your family friends even though you rake me over the coals occasionly.Teach Jonas children there great grandfather's trade they will be OK Don't forget what the doctors told Glen when he came home take care of your self an Jonas family D.R.C.
