Sarah Wallace

Sarah "Susie" Castor Wallace, 62, of Love Valley, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, June 20, 2010, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. She was born Sept. 26, 1947, in Cabarrus County, to the late James Lee "Pete" and Louise Wilson Castor. Susie was of the Baptist faith. She graduated from Rowan County schools and attended Rowan Cabarrus Community College. She worked for Cannon Mills until her health failed, then she became a licensed beautician and homemaker and also helped with Wallace Roofing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Lee Wallace Sr., on April 6, 2005; and a daughter, Tammy Renee Wallace Dorton, on Nov. 28, 2003. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Crystal Michelle Wallace and husband, John Glenn, of Statesville; sons, Jerry Lee Wallace II, of Statesville, and Mark A. Wallace, of Kannapolis; brothers, Johnny Castor, of Salisbury, and Jimmy Castor and wife, Carolyn, of Concord; grandchildren, Daniel, Brandi, Holly, Levi, "Gus", John; and four great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Northcrest Chapel in Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home, China Grove. Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. this evening at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home, China Grove.
