I am so saddened to hear of the passing of such a great man, Bernie Fletcher. I worked for Bernie as a teenager washing cars and pumping gas for one of his businesses, he taught me so many things that I still use in my business today. He also helped me install my first car radio into my first car. That day I will never forget.
Bernie I will miss you greatly.

If I were to sit here and write about all the positive qualities of Bernie, I would be here all day. First met him when he was the general manager of Fort Marion Chevrolet in St. Augustine, many years ago. The dealership would later become Jack Wilson Buick-GMC, also in St. Augustine. Bernie was ALL business, yet one could tell he had a gentle heart. As time progressed, one could tell that cars were part of his being for he continued to work at car dealerships in some form of other. He also cared deeply about St. Augustine and was involved in community activities to benefit that organization and the citizens. Pleasure to have known Bernie. His resiliancy and bounce-back ability was remarkable. St. Augustine and the car buying public owe him a grand salute. Good sailings, Bernie. My condolences to the Fletcher family.
