Mrs. Betty Lou Patterson Weeks, 78, of Ellijay, Ga., formerly of St. Augustine, Fla., died Friday, May 27, 2011.
Mrs. Weeks was born on Oct. 9, 1932, in Fannin County. She is the daughter of the late Harshall Patterson and Bonnie Callahan Patterson.
She worked as a riveter for Fairchild Industries and was of the Baptist faith.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Collins Vestal Weeks, and a son, Donald Clay Weeks.
Survivors include: son and daughters-in-law, William Larry and Nancy Weeks, Ellijay, Ga., Nancy Weeks, Elkton, Fla.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Lois Ann Patterson, Wendell and Ruth Ann Patterson, and Jimmy and Shirley Patterson, all of Blue Ridge, Ga., Wayne and Diane Patterson of McCaysville, Ga.; three grandchildren, Brandon Weeks, Brandy Hornbaker and Wayne Weeks.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 30, 2011, at 2 p.m., from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home, with Minister Tommy Kyle officiating.
Visitation will be held Sunday, May 29, from 6-8 p.m. at the Bernhardt Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 200 W. Emery St., Suite 3, Dalton, GA 30720 in memory of Mrs. Weeks.
