It is a blessing & privilege to remember David and his family, and to reread his beautiful obituary. Susan was on my heart recently because it is Breast Cancer Awareness Week. I miss them; but my heart is warmed as I think of their children!
Sending love!

Just wanted to share that I spent some time rereading a beautiful testimony David's wife, Susan, shared with me (and many others I'm sure) regarding her faith and the strength and freedom it gave her during her illness. It encouraged me once again! Sending love and asking for God's blessings on their children and all of their loved ones. See you one fine day in heaven, David.

I was very sorry to belatedly hear of David's death. I first met David in nursery school in Evanston; our families stayed in touch. As an adolescent, I attended Honey Rock Camp in Wisconsin with him, and have very fond memories of a week spent at the family's vacation home after camp ended. I attended the Explo '72 conference with him in Dallas, Texas. And, finally, we attended Wheaton College together. I had lost touch with David, but I've never forgotten our simple, uncomplicated childhood friendship, nor the warmth and welcome of his family. May light perpetual shine upon him now.

From the day Heather(Susan) brought you to St. Augustine, I knew you were a very special man with a heart like no other. You will be missed by many. In the arms of angels and with your wife forever... I will miss our phone calls and visits. Your children remain in my prayers always.

Dear Family,
I was so saddened to hear of David's death. It has been several years since I saw and spoke with him. We were church family back at Trinity, and Susan and I became friends. Seeing his picture reminds me of David's kindness and gentleness. May your hearts be comforted and strengthened by Christ's peace and assurance of eternal life.

He was a great man and better Father. He had so much love for his kids. I only got to know him for a short time but he made a big impact on me. I will miss you my friend!

I am saddened to hear of his passing on so young. I hope he and Susan will be happy together at last. Life is like a flickering flame in the winds of time. I will remember him fondly even though we butted heads a few times!
