Duke Follweiler, 82, passed away Friday, March 28, 2008. He was born and raised in Tamaqua, Pa., and had lived in St. Augustine since the early 1940s. Duke worked for the U.S. Post Office in St. Augustine for more than 32 years before retiring and helping his son, Ollie, at Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home in Cocoa Beach. He was a member of the Cocoa Beach Elks Lodge No. 2387.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Ollie and Sherry Follweiler, and grandson, Chad Follweiler. He was predeceased by his wife of 48 years, Pauline Green Follweiler.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 30, 2008, at Craig Funeral Home in St. Augustine. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 31, 2008, at St. Augustine Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
