Fidela Carballeira Obituary
Fidela (Fleitas) Carballeira, 92, of St. Augustine, died Nov. 11, 2011, at Moultrie Nursing Home. She was born in Pinar del Rio, Cuba.
She immigrated as a refugee from Havana, Cuba in 1970.
She also lived in Tarrytown, N.Y., and she enjoyed raising many domestic birds. She loved to dance and cook for family and friends.
Fidela is survived by two daughters, Hilda Carballeira Fleitas and Nancy (Carballeira) Mudry and her husband Edward; three grandchildren, Edward Martinez, David Mudry, and Julio Cruz; and two great-grandchildren, Albrei and Azteyn Mudry.
In honor of her memory contributions may be made to Community Hospice of N.E. Florida.
St. Johns Family Funeral Home is in charge of the private service.
