Harriet Louise McGowan, 87, died July 14, 2008, at Earl B. Hadlow Center for Caring in Jacksonville. She was born in Kingston, N.Y. She was a registered nurse and had served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. She was a real estate agent in Phoenix, Ariz., for many years before retiring to St. Augustine.
Burial and services will be held in Tongore Cemetery, Kingston, N.Y., later this week.
She is survived by two sisters, Constance Bird and Priscilla Pierce, and many nieces and nephews.
Rest in peace, we love you and will miss you, Terry L. and Marsha Personeus.

Terry, Marsha, and family,
Our deepest sympathy for your loss. Harriett was an inspiration to my kids who admired her deeply. She and Les are together again smiling down on all or us. We will miss our breakfast gatherings with her and your Dad. The memories will be held forever by our family.
