Dad, you've left this earth for a better place but you'll always have a special place in my heart. I'm proud to be a Sumner and your first born. I am grateful for getting to know you and will always appreciate the times we had together. I'll remember your story-telling, your quick wit, your sense of humor, and your compassion for cats (maybe that's where I get it). Know that you were loved very much.

I am sorry that we have never met. And wishing we have. Ed and Mom have told me some wonderful things. Even though that we have never met I'm glad you were my grandpa. Lots of Love Brandi Chaney

It is so great to have you as my grandfather and I know that you are walking with your other grand-daughter Jessica Lynn Sumner-Cheshire. I believe you two were able to meet on the other side once again. I'm happy to know that you had someone there waiting for you and will be with you always. I Love You Both and I too hope to see you when it is my time to come home.

I really enjoyed the few times we met, its a shame that we didnt get to know each other better. I really liked the story of how you drove a racecar on the sands of Daytona Beach somewhere in the 50s. Maybe thats where I got my racing bug from.

Thank you,

Marsha Sumner-Collins
