John Stanforth Obituary

John T. Stanforth, 82, Elkton, died Oct. 28, 2014, at his home. He was born in Northfield, Minn., and had resided here since 1990, moving from Farmingdale, N.Y. He was retired from the banking industry where he worked as a data processor. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean Conflict. He was a lifetime member of V.F.W., was a member of the St. Augustine Shores Men's Golf Association, and a member of the Shores United Methodist Church.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, 2014, at St. Augustine Shores United Methodist Church with the Rev. Randy Strickland, pastor, officiating. Flowers are gratefully declined and those wishing may make a contribution in his memory to Haven Hospice, 2497 U.S. 1 South, St. Augustine, Fla., 32086.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Louise Stanforth on Oct. 2, 2014.
He is survived by his three sons, Wayne Stanforth, Southington, Conn., John Stanforth, Ellenville, N.Y., Thomas Stanforth, Buffalo, Minn.; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
St. Johns Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Jack, searched for you for years . Finally found you only to find you have passed on :-( Wish we had been able to meet one more time. Will always remember our days together at LITCO and all that you did for me. RIP Buddy!
