John Yamnitz Obituary

John Franklin Yamnitz passed away peacefully in his home on December 20th, 2018. John was born in Buffalo NY to parents Robert and Pauline Yamnitz. He and his three brothers, Bill Yamnitz, Jimmy Yamnitz and Gary Yamnitz were raised in Lakeland and Redington Beach, FL.
John was pre-deceased by his wife Gail Yamnitz and survived by his two sons Tony and Chris Yamnitz; Brothers Bill Yamnitz and Gary Yamnitz; Granddaughters Courtney Yamnitz Gardella and Sarah Yamnitz Harmon.
John spent the last 35 years in St. Augustine where he was a successful Real Estate Developer. John loved going first class in everything he did and the world was John's for the taking. John had a natural charm and never met a stranger. John loved cooking, food and fine wine. John especially loved golf and playing poker with the crew at the Country Club. John was an avid sportsman who also enjoyed boating and fishing. After retirement John loved travel and adventure with his wife Gail.
John's celebration of life will be held at Craig Funeral Home 1475 Old Dixie Highway, St. Augustine FL at 1:00 pm Saturday January 26th, 2019. A reception for family and immediate friends will follow the service.
Flowers are graciously declined, but Memorial donations may be made in John F. Yamnitz's name to the CHPC - Community Hospice and Palliative Care Foundation 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville FL 32257.
Craig Funeral Home Crematory is in charge of the arrangements
