Kevin Francis Quealy

Kevin Francis Quealy, 63, of St. Augustine, died on July 11, 2018, with his family at his side after his courageous battle with Multiple System Atrophy (MSA).

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Margaret Fennelly Quealy; sister, Maura; brothers, James and fraternal twin Michael. He was predeceased by his oldest brother, John.

Kevin was born in the Bronx, New York, to John and Elizabeth (nee Raftery of County Mayo, Ireland) Quealy. He attended St. Luke's Elementary, Cardinal Hayes High School and Manhattan College. Kevin had a long career as an electrical estimator, Local 3 IBEW in New York City, retiring in 2014 to St. Augustine.

Kevin was a talented man with a flair for being able to do whatever he set his mind to and who would always help friends and family with projects. He was affectionately referred to as "the man" when the family worked on the projects with him. He loved a good story, had a clever sense of humor, contagious laugh, and enjoyed a good Irish coffee or two. His smile could light up a room and his sweet manner was infectious. He loved going to the beach and taking long walks. Kevin will live forever in our hearts and be remembered everywhere his signature handiwork appears in our homes.

Rest in peace, sweet Kevie. Many thanks to all the staff at Community Hospice Bailey Family Center for Caring for their gentle care of Kevin in his last week. In lieu of flowers, donations to MSA Coalition would be appreciated to fight this devastating disease.

A memorial Mass will be held at 9 a.m. on Monday, July 16, 2018 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Monday, July 16, 2018 at St. Johns Family Funeral Home.
