Lance Chambers Obituary

Lance Michael Chambers, 52. of Charlotte, N.C. (formerly of St. Augustine) passed away on Monday, Nov. 10, 2014. Lance was born on Sept. 8, 1962, (The City of St. Augustine's Birthday) at Flagler Hospital along with his twin brother, Scott Daniel Chambers. Dressed alike for much of their childhood, not many could tell them apart. Lance was a high energy person who had a zest for life, had a magnetic personality and was an amazing cook. Lance went to the University of Florida graduating with a finance degree ultimately earning his Master's degree. After college, he started with the Federal Reserve Bank in Atlanta and experienced a very successful career in banking for more than 20 years which included working on Wall Street. Lance was a history buff and proud of his Menorcan decent. Lance practiced his Catholic Religion and loved the Catholic Church.
Lance is survived by his four beautiful children, including Lance Jr., Catherine, Caroline, Lilly; his mother, Dianne; father David; brothers, Scott (Cheryl, Kalie and Lehman (Daniel), Glenn (Shannon, Benet and Perry) and Brett and many other relatives including aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorial services will be held at Good News Church located at 1357 Wildwood Drive, St. Augustine, FL 32086 (904 819-0064) at 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 16, 2014. Reception will be held at Good News immediately following the service.
In lieu of Flowers and because Lance loved dogs, the family requests that you consider a donation to the St. Augustine Humane Society, 1665 Old Moultrie Road, St. Augustine, FL 32084 (904 [email protected])

It truly saddens me to find Lance passed some years back. He was such a lovely person, such a loss. Remembering several classes we had together. We always sat together, which was hard when youre sitting next to a comedian like him. Someones going to get the giggles (me). He was a funny guy who made us all laugh. He was a class act with a kind heart and Im so glad Lance Chambers was my friend. I will treasure those wonderful times. RIP my friend.

I am so truly saddened to hear of Lance's passing. Lance was my neighbor here in Charlotte for the past two years, and I always enjoyed the times we visited with each other. He was an absolutely delightful, warm and engaging individual and true gentleman – extremely kind and always willing to assist me with anything I might need - even with the most mundane tasks like carrying my groceries up the stairs to my apartment. I have fawn memories of Lance & Scott. Rusty Taylor, myself, Lance & Scott were leaving McDonalds one night and the twins were in the back of Rusty's Blazer. Well, the bench seat wasn't bolted down and when Rusty gave it the gas, the seat and the twins went flying to the back of the Blazer. We all four laughed so hard we almost cried. All the way down US 1 and SR 16 we all kept adding to it till we were making jokes about something completely separate from the action. I also remember the twins and I jumping bikers over metal trash cans in their driveway. Smart, funny and just great guys to be around. Mr. & Mrs. Chambers, please know that your family is in our prayers and that you will see Lance again.

I have the fondest of memories as a child growing up with the Chambers family.I will never forget all of the FPL parties and Christmases that we spent together.
