Dr. Segal served as chief of radiology at Flagler Hospital from 1954 to 1974. He was founder and chief of radiology for St. Augustine General Hospital from 1974 to 1987. He served in the military in 1946 and 1947 and in 1953 as captain in the medical section of the Air Force. He was a member of the Radiological Society of North America, American College of Radiology, Southern Medical Association, Florida Medical Association, Florida Radiological Society and Marsh Creek Country Club.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Middendorf Segal, daughters: Beth Segal Yohe and S. Amy Segal; one son, Lawrence G. Segal; grandson, Simon E. Yohe; granddaughter, Sarah Yohe Cohen; two nieces, five nephews, and his beloved Corgis, Meg and Kate.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Janet Goldsmith Segal; brother, Robert A. Segal; and sister, Frances Segal Foer.

A celebration of Dr. Segal's Life will be held Sunday, Nov. 13, 2005 at 4 p.m. at Marsh Creek Country Club, St. Augustine.
