Thank you for making Speech Class one of my favorite classes, Mr. Taylor. I recall how, after we began connecting on Facebook, you asked me to call you "Reed". It took me a long time, but I was eventually able to do so. Bless you always, dear teacher. Amen.

Losing a loved one can bring much grief. Please accept my sincere condolences. I love the words spoken in the scripture at 1 Thessalonians 4:14 written by Paul when he was in Corinth "For if we have faith that Jesus died and rose again, so too God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in death through Jesus". What a wonderful promise. To know that you can see your loved one again!

Reed K. Taylor was my English teacher at Wayland High School. He was a gifted educator who demanded and returned respect to all who entered Taylor's Kingdom. He caused his students to think and work and enjoy learning in the process. I appreciate greatly the knowledge gained from being in his classes even though I may have been a reluctant student.

Reed was my English teacher at Wayland High for three years. It would have been four years, has the powers that be listened to my request. I love Robert Frost and William Shakespeare because of this dear man. He made English fun. I have enjoyed reconnecting with him on Facebook, and will miss him greatly. He was my all-time favorite teacher.

During my only two years at Wayland Highschool, Mr Taylor was my senior English teacher and never forgotten. Entertaining and obviously enjoying his job he made Shakespeare approachable. I believe he was our senior class advisor. May he rest in peace. I also fondly remember my junior year English teacher Mr Burns. He actually helped me enjoy Silas Marner.

My last contact with Reed was 2 years, ago when I did some research on the old Wayland Jr. High (present Town Hall) for Historical Society. He truly enjoyed teaching at that school. Do you remember Reed and other teachers cheering the cheerleaders during a pre-game rally? Judy Ide, Wayland

Reed helped make all our lives better.

Reed was our vice principal at Arlington High School during the beginning of my teaching career. I especially appreciated his humor and ability to see all points of view. He always supported me and others as we made our way in the teaching profession. After years of being out of touch, he responded with great kindness and generosity when my husband died.

I am happy that we reconnected via phone and e-mail a few years ago. I believe you are reunited with your family and friends in Heaven.

Reed was a wonderful, funny, and kind man. I'm glad I got to know him personally. Fond memories of him "ushering" me into my classes at Arlington High School to our friendship as neighbors at Muzzey Condos. He will be missed.

Mr Taylor was my English teacher at Wayland H.S. for sophomore and senior years. He was certainly one of a kind and his casting and direction of the Senior Play, an Ayn Rand trial drama, was a masterpiece of matching personalities with the roles and counterparts. I was lucky to reconnect with him on Facebook and found he was as sharp as ever. Sorry he is gone. Anne Marie (Walsh) Nawawi

I have several fond memories of Reed.
When I left the faculty of Arlington to work in international schools (for the next 28 years, as it happened), Reed was one of my happier and more colorful memories of AHS. I was happy to renew contact with him by e-mail a few years ago.
