Timothy W. McLendon, 52, passed away at Flagler Hospital Aug. 12, 2013, after a brave battle with cancer. He was born to Bill and Janelle Pomar McLendon in St. Augustine. He loved the out of doors and would often go out "hunting" and after a long day in the tree stand would remark that he saw several nice deer, but that they were just too pretty to shoot. He began learning the plumbing trade as a teenager and eventually became a master plumber, owning his own successful plumbing business. He loved his family and always took care of his wife, children, and assisted other family members.
Survivors include his beloved wife Barbara Greene McLendon, son: Robert (Elexa) McLendon, sister: Tami Fletcher, grandchildren: Ava and Colton McLendon, his niece and nephew, and many cousins, family and friends.
In lieu of flowers donations to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
There will be a visitation at 2 p.m. Friday followed at 3 p.m. by the funeral service at Craig Funeral Home. The burial will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Salem Memorial Park in Tifton, Ga.
Craig Funeral Home Crematory Memorial Park (www.craigfuneralhome.com) is in charge of arrangements.

I knew Timmy back when we were both into archery- I just got a feeling today that I should look him up online and was stunned to find out he is gone-I am glad that he had a great wife and family Kristie Kazebeer Law 9/26/13

RIP Tim

It is hard to believe that Tim will not be coming to our area anymore, spreading sunshine and good cheer as he and his crew resolved our plumbing problems. Some people may not know that Tim did lots of work at no charge. There is a plumbing crew working in our area today. Some, who don't know of Tim's passing are asking, "Is it Tim?" and are saddened when they realize they will never again hear, "Yep, it's Tim! "Rest in peace, Tim.
