Robert Vernon "Sonny" Daniel Jr.

Mr. Robert Vernon "Sonny" Daniel, Jr., 86, of Ashville, Alabama passed away on September 18, 2021. Mr. Daniel was a member of Greensport Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School and served as a trustee, a member of the Building Committee, and Director of the Sunday School Board. He was a founding member of the Silver Dollars Trio. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Peggy Riggins Daniel. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Peggy Riggins Daniel. He is survived by his daughters, Debra Cannon Guy; Deborah Jean Conigliona; sons, Joseph A. Daniel, Ed Cannon & Glenn Cannon; grandchildren, Angela Arrington, April Wisham, Beau Cannon, Sarah Stutsman, Violet Cannon, Kade Andresen, Brandon Daniel & Gabriella Grove; and 16 great-grandchildren. The funeral service was held at 11:00 am on Friday, September 24, 2021 at Greensport Baptist Church Dr. Michael Mills officiated. Interment followed in the adjoining cemetery. The family received friends Friday from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at the church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Greensport Baptist Building Fund.
