Vicki Sue Buckner

Vicki Sue Buckner, 59, born October 6, 1963, went peacefully to be with her Lord on May 13th, surrounded by loved ones. Vicki was preceded in death by her father, Doyce Buckner, paternal grandparents, Clifford and Nokie Buckner, maternal grandparents, J.B. and Marie Tucker, uncles Larry Tucker, Steve Daulton, William Buckner, Ray Buckner, and Wayne Tucker. She is survived by her mother, Jean Buckner, brothers Mike (Vicki) and Tim Buckner (Joy); sister, Donna Dennis (Pat), aunts Judy Daulton, Jan Thompson, Doris Buckner, Nancy Tucker, great aunt Faye Ellis, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Vicki was a graduate of Pinedale Christian Academy. She was a loving person and showed the love of Jesus to everyone she met. Although she dealt with sickness most of her life, she spent a lot of time doing for others. She enjoyed painting keepsakes for family and friends, teaching children's Sunday School, participating in fundraisers for the American Kidney Foundation and volunteering for anything and everything in various churches throughout her life. She also enjoyed taking trips with her immediate family or with her special aunt Doris and special cousin Carol Buckner, who were always willing to take her anywhere she wanted to go any time. Visitation was held on Friday, May 19, 2023 at Deerfoot Memorial Funeral Home. Interment followed at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in Springville, AL.
