Alan Schmude Obituary

Schmude, Alan W.

Alan W. Schmude, age 66, of Stevens Point, passed away Thursday morning, November 7, 2013 at his home with his loving family by his side.

He was born July 29, 1947 in Wisconsin Rapids, the son of Harvey D. and Emily J. (Sprafka) Schumde.

Alan attended Lincoln Center School in Stevens Point. He was later employed at Community Industries and St. Michael Hospital where he retired in 2001. Alan enjoyed participating in Special Olympics, where he competed in bowling and running.

He is survived by his father, Harvey Schmude; sister, Cindy Schmude; brother, Don Schmude; three nieces, Lori Hintz (Steve), Deanna Nikolai (Brian), Nicky Schmude and their families.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Emily and other family members.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Leikness & Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield with the Pastor Thomas Peterson officiating. Burial will be in the Plainfield Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. Tuesday until the time of services at funeral home.

A Memorial Service will be held on Nov. 18, 2013, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1919 Wyatt Ave. in Stevens Point. Alan's family will greet friends at 6:00 pm with services to follow at 6:45 pm. The Leikness & Stahl Funeral Home of Plainfield is assisting the family with arrangements, www.plainfieldfuneralhome.com
