Betty L. Ostrowski

Amherst - Betty L. Ostrowski - Amherst, WI - age 81, passed away on Saturday, February 13th at her daughter's home in Stevens Point. She was born on October 22, 1939, the daughter of Charles and Mary (Kissinger) Rickman. She married Alexander Ostrowski on June 18, 1960 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Polonia.

Betty is survived by son: Daniel (Debra) Ostrowski of Wisconsin Rapids, three daughters: Debra (David) Saltzman of Wisconsin Rapids, Darlene (Paul) Konkol of Wisconsin Rapids, and Denise (Anthony, Jr) Makuski of Stevens Point, grandchildren: Karl (Nicole) Luedtke and their sons: Reece and Korbin, Alex (Tracy) Ostrowski and their children, Dominick and Emma, Jason (Amanda) Luedtke, Elizabeth (Tessa) Skare, Rashawanna Ostrowski, Luke (Ally) Saltzman and their son, Allen, Craig Konkol, Shelby Makuski, and Aaron Makuski.

Beside her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Stanchik and two brothers, Richard and Robert Rickman.

Betty cooked many years for CWES on Sunset Lake and enjoyed reading, gardening and outdoors. She also enjoyed camping and spending time at their property on Moon Lake in Iola. A family tradition she loved was the yearly family vacation spent at Nicolet Shores near Phelps. She truly loved family times and she adored her grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, February 18th at 11:00 AM at St. James Catholic Church in Amherst, WI, with Father Todd Mlsna, Celebrant. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 17th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst, WI and visitation will continue on Thursday morning at 10 AM at the funeral home followed by the mass at church. Interment will be in the St. James Catholic Cemetery in Amherst. The Jungers - Holly Funeral Home of Amherst, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.

Jungers-Holly Funeral Home remind the public that no more than 75 people will be allowed at the visitation at one time with the wearing of masks and physical distancing observed. We sincerely encourage each person to make your decision whether to attend a visitation and/or service based on the best interest of your health and that of your community.

Aww Betty. I will miss the times we worked together at CWES. We had a lot of laugh's and fun!! You will be missed here on earth and welcomed happily to your eternal home with Jesus. May your family be blessed here always, amen.

I knew Betty through her daughter, Denise, who was a former student and my high school student aid, Denise's daughter, Rashawanna, a former student and through her grandson, Karl, a former student. She loved you all dearly and would talk about you with pride. My condolences to Denise, Karl, Rashawanna, and your whole family.
