Delores Pitcher Obituary

Delores V. Pitcher

Delores V. Pitcher, 82 went to be with her wonderful husband, Harold Pitcher on Wednesday, Jan. 7th 2015. Delores was born on March 2nd, 1932 in Stevens Point, daughter of the late August and Clara (Stroik) Stanchik. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Harold Pitcher, her daughter Pam Zarse, and her son Lenny Pitcher. All taken from her much too soon, which changed her completely.

Survivors include her two sisters, Esther (Alfred) Laszinski and Loretta Michelkamp, daughters Karin (Fred Pottle) Wells and Cindy Pitcher and several beautiful grandchildren that include Beau (Shana) Liss, Jessica (Travis) Lila, Clay Pitcher, Leland (Missy) Pitcher and Jenny (Jason) Blenker, Darla and Lilah Flynn, and several of the most beautiful great grandchildren that always brought a smile to her face. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Charlotte Pitcher. Delores was one of the kindest, sweetest mother and friend and like Harold, never had a harsh thing to say about anyone. Although she was known to speak her mind from time to time and say things that caused her children to burst out in laughter, only because she was always so proper! When she needed something done, she would not rest until it was done and everyone around her would know that it needed to be done, now!

She loved to sew and made the most beautiful quilts, lovely Raggedy Anne and Andy dolls and beautiful western outfits for her daughter who competed in many, many horse shows. She loved to entertain family and friends at her home, she loved to travel, she loved to plant flowers and would get so upset when the deer and the rabbits would eat the tops off, and she loved to golf. She and Dad traveled to visit their children wherever we ended up to live, along with fun trips with their friends. She and her sister Esther had garage sales down to a science! She made the best Christmas cookies and her recipe is carried on by her daughter, and her daughter Jessica and now even the grandchildren are learning the secrets! Most of all, she adored Harold. It was plain to all of us the depth of her love for him. She will now be with him, Pam and Lenny. She passed quietly on Jan. 7th, which would have been Pam's 61st birthday, and somehow, I think Pam was there to guide her along. With love always, Mom may you rest now.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM Monday Jan. 12, 2015 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Stevens Point. Rev. Paul Lippert will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until the time of services Monday morning at the Church. For online condolences please visit www.pisarskifuneralhome.com
