It's hard to believe that it has been 8 years since you left us. It's still so hard to believe that you are gone. The years we spent together were the best years of my life. I still miss you so much. You have two beautiful grandkids that you would have spoiled wrotten. I just try to keep myself so busy now. I love Timehop because we have so many memories you are on there just about every day. I never want to forget the times we had together. This would have been your 60th birthday year and oh I would have had so much fun planning that birthday. I have gone on many trips this year with my "girls" celebrating our 60th but it would have been so much more fun with you. I don't think you know how missed you are down here. You always said you didn't have friends but oh my you have so many down here that miss you like crazy. I miss you everyday. There is such a big hole in my heart that has been there since the day you left us. Love you always..................Diana

I was 17 when I moved to Lexington for college in 2001 and started working for Kurt at Regal Cinemas. He was the kind of guy you could be real with and knew he always had your back. Over the years Kurt gave me heart felt job referrals that I know attributed to my success into adulthood. I hope anyone who reads this knows although he may be gone, people like me will never forget him. One of my best memories is playing Dance Dance Revolution in the lobby with him after the last movies were finally rolling.

A year today has gone by, still doesn't seem real that you have left us. You are missed beyond measure, not only by us your parents but by so many family members and friends.
We are thankful to have had you for 52 plus years but it was't near enough. Your humor and kindness are mostly missed.
Will miss and love you forever. Peace, Mom and Dad

I thought we'd have the chance to continue our conversation -- we barely scratched the surface. I've had to fill in the gaps on my own, and I know I won't get it right. It's a heck of an understatement, but it has been quite a year, and now I have to imagine your colorful commentary on all of this stuff.
We miss you!

I am a old friend of Kurt's as well as a former neighbor and classmate. I am so extremely saddened by the news of his sudden passing.
I have so many fond memories of Kurt and they are all imprinted in my mind forever as he and I were like brother and sister. We used to have so much fun together and a lot of it also involved Scotty Edwards! Those two were always partners in crime. I remember him picking me up to go to school in his parents station wagon. He along with Glenn Leary would always let me into the movie theater for free way back when! I loved Kurt like a brother and have never, ever forgotten him even though we drifted apart.
My thoughts are with all of Kurt's family and friends at this time of sorrow. I miss him greatly but am comforted to know that he and my son are in heaven looking down on not only me but all of us as angels.
God Bless

I am so sorry to hear about Kurt's passing. My late husband, Larry and I were bowling partners with Kurt and Mary many years ago. We had our first child the same year and used to bring our baby girls to the bowling alley. I ran into Mary a few years ago and we cried in the grocery store, as she told me about her battle. My prayers go to his family, especially his girls. I am shocked to hear this. God be with you all.

Kurt was always like a second son. He was a very close friend of my son, Scott Edwards. Bless you Kurt. Bless your entire family.

When I think of Kurt, there is always a smile with my thoughts because he brought out a smile with our visits. While time has passed and our lives have taken differing paths with jobs, opportunities, and our own families, the bonds created in earlier years holds firm. I miss Kurt. While I am not able to be in Kentucky, I will be keeping Kurt and all the family in my thoughts and prayers. Chuck

Kurt was an amazing man. He was a great friend and wonderful father. I am going to miss our casino trips, Florida trips, jet ski rides, fixing breakfast on Sunday mornings (trying to keep him from snatching the bacon until I was done cooking), our Sunday's together watching football and then going to bowl. I will never understand why he was taken so soon. We had such great plans for the future. He has such a positive impact on every one he encountered. My kids loved him so. My heart hurts............

"And we were never holding back or worried that time would come to an end.
We were always hoping that, looking back
You could always rely on a friend."
A few lines from a song that always makes me think of Kurt...because he was never being boring. You were a great friend to me and I knew I could always rely on you! I miss you.
