Norbert Besiada Obituary
Norbert L. "Nubbs" Besiada Age 62 of 2556 Water St. Stevens Point Died peacefully at home surrounded by family on Saturday Aug. 18, 2012.
He was born Jan. 3, 1950 in Stevens Point. He was the son of the late Frank & Frances (Brefczynski) Besiada.
He entered the US Army on July 17, 1968. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Vietnam Service Medal & the Vietnam Campaign Medal. He was honorably discharged on Feb. 21, 1971.
His marriage to Linda Kropidlowski took place on July 8, 1972 at St. Peter Catholic Church, she survives.
Nubbs enjoyed fishing, golfing, playing softball and especially spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife Linda, three sons: Joe of Appleton, Bruce (LaChelle) and Gerald Besiada of Stevens Point. One daughter: Kimberly (Chad) Duda of Stevens Point. Three grandchildren: Coral, Chase & Nathan. Two brothers: Richard of Mosinee & Jim of Green Bay. Two sisters: Barbara (Joe) Schultz of Stevens Point & Mary (Bill) Dunahee of Florida.
He was preceded in death by two brothers: Irwin and Jerome "Jerry" Besiada.
A memorial service for Nubbs will take place at 11:00 am Tuesday at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home in Stevens Point. Family and friends will gather from 9:00 am until the time of services Tuesday morning at the Funeral Home.
