Shirley A. Burns

Stevens Point - Shirley A. Burns, age 79, of Stevens Point, died Friday, August 31, 2018 at her residence. She was born on October 23, 1938 in Stevens Point, the daughter of Theodore and Gertrude ( Wrycza ) Zdrojewski. Shirley attended and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School. On May 28, 1960 the former Miss Zdrojewski was united in marriage to Elgie F. Suplicki at St. Peter Catholic Church. After Elgie's death, Shirley married John Burns. He preceded her in death. Shirley was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, KC Auxilliary Society and for many years served on the Catholic Cemetery Association Board. Shirley enjoyed traveling (cruises'), rummage sales, flea markets and a "good sale". She especially loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her children; Patrick (Brenda) Suplicki of Stevens Point, Pamela (Dr. David) Brilowski of Waukesha and Lynn (Dr. John) Whittle of Dublin, GA; Step-children, Jack, Robert and Mary Lee (Marc Herrmann) Burns; Eight grandchildren, Tara (Jeremy) Sell, Patrice Suplicki, Brianna (Ryan) Pribek, Brett and Brock Brilowski, Jack, Margaret and Patrick Whittle; one great-grandson, Jeter "JP"; 5 step-grandchildren; her sister, Janice Klein; a special friend and traveling companion, David Trzinski; her pet and constant companion, "Princess"; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by; her parents; her husbands; sister, Dorothy (Floyd) Pautz; and brother-in-law, Alois Klein. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Stevens Point, at 11:00AM on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 with Rev. Jerzy Rebacz presiding. Burial will be in the Guardian Angel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30AM until the time of the Mass on Wednesday.
