Charles Emery Cate Dameron

Charles Emery Cate Dameron, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and dear friend passed away peacefully in his sleeping bag under a star lit evening sky on June 26, 2021. He was doing one of the things he loved the best - camping near Saddlebag Lakes in the Sierras, in preparation for a familiar climb to Mt. Dana, with Tibetan prayer flags surrounding his favorite campsite and a cooler filled with great wine and food.
Emery served on the boards of many organizations including homeowners' associations and charitable foundations, such as the Land Trust of Napa Valley. Along with his wife, Martha he was a supporter of Collabria Care/Collabria Care Hospice of Napa.
Emery is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Martha Whatley Dameron. He is also survived by his son, Merrick (Laura), grandsons Aaron and Ben; his daughter Courtenay Hicks (Russ) granddaughter Audrey; brothers Stanley (Maria) and Ned (Eleanor); nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
A celebration of life will be held for Emery at the Grace Episcopal Church in St. Helena, CA on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at 2:00 pm.
