KAREN WARD Obituary

KAREN WARD 06/10/1938 - 09/16/2025 Karen "Kay" Ward, 87, of New Matamoras, Ohio, formerly of Sardis, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, W.V. She was born June 10, 1938, in Sardis, a daughter of the late Shirley L. and Ruth Miller Rosenlieb. She was a homemaker and a member of Living Water Baptist Church, Sardis, and VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post # 9930, Duffy, Ohio. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Eugene Ward; grandson, Daniel Ward; brother, Shirley L. Rosenlieb and a sister, Viola Hissom Crawford. Survivors include a son, David Ward of Sardis and a daughter, Kayla Marie (Todd) Davis of New Matamoras; and two special granddaughters, Piper Marie and Brielle Emmalynn Davis and grandson, Tripp Davis. Family received friends on Thursday from 5 - 8 p.m. at Living Water Baptist Church, 37453 State Route 7, Sardis, where services were held on Friday at 11 a.m. with Pastor James Ng officiating. Interment followed in Sardis Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Grisell Funeral Home, Sardis. Sympathy expressions at grisellfuneralhomes.com.
