Jants, Allen Edmund Monday, May 21, 2018. Dearest husband of the late Mary Jants (nee LaRosa); loving father of Rosalie (Thom) Wells, and Jacqueline (Gary) Boyd; loving grandfather of Becky (Carl) Caspersen, Gary Allen (Dawn) Boyd, Tara (Chris) Armstrong, Brian, Brandie, Robin and Joli; our dear great-grandfather of 16, great great grandfather, uncle, greatuncle, cousin and dear friend to many. Allen a World War II Veteran was so proud to have been part of an Honor Flight. He was a Graduate of St. Louis University and Washington University having a Master's degree in Science Research Electronics and Avionics. During his working years his expertise was with Helicopters. He was a member of the American Helicopter Society of Professional Engineers St. Louis Chapter and of the Engineers' Club of St. Louis. Allen was active in civic organizations: The Saint Louis Ambassadors, Box 8 International Fire Buff Associates Inc, and the Northside Optimist Club. He was very active with the Moolah Temple Shriners: Drum and Bugle Corp, Temple Club Activity Association and Charter Member of the International Association Legions of Honor. He belonged to the Daniel Boone Shrine Club, The North County Shrine Club, a Scottish Rite of Freemasonry S.J. USA Member in the Valley of St. Louis Orient of Missouri as well as Beacon Lodge No. 3 in Hazelwood, Missouri. Allen was a member of the Merry Macs Square Club and a bowler for over 40 years with the Moolah Temple of Greater St. Louis LeVisitatio.
