I learned only today of Tony's passing -- my heart hurts for Mary Ellen, Larry and the entire tribe of family and friends who knew and loved Tony.

Oddly, this morning I found on the floor a photo of Tony, age 10 (dated Oct 1962), which must have fallen out of my photo album onto the floor. It was a few hours later that a family member called to say they had stumbled across his obituary!

The Judge family were neighbors of my paternal grandparents, father, aunt and uncles. My memories of Tony go back almost 60 years! My (late) Aunt Mary adored him, and she and I drove up to attend his ordination when I was a Senior in H.S. Many fond memories of Tony - one of the kindest and most gentle man I knew!

May he rest in peace and glory!

My heartfelt condolences to the Judge family.

The strongest message I learned from Tony was: Be kind to everyone. He is in the presence of God, where we all want to be one day. I miss him. Go with God, Tony. You are loved.

My deepest sympathy to the whole Judge family at the sudden loss of Tony's life. My prayerful support will remain long with all of you!
I appreciated Tony's insights and humor. On one Corpus Christi Sunday, Tony celebrated liturgy at St. Pius V. This particular weekend coincided with the Pride festival. Two 'processions' were to begin after liturgy: Corpus Christi procession and PrideFest parade. At the end of the liturgy Tony reminded us where the starting point of each was to be held. Making no judgement on people's decisions Tony said, "Enjoy whichever group you decide to join, just be sure your actions fit the occasion!" We all laughed.
May Tony visit you in unexpected ways that bring you comfort, peace and good memories.

Although we came from different faith traditions, Tony and I became very close friends over the past year and a half. We would meet weekly for lunch or dinner, and would have great discussions about theology, our respective ministry experiences, the world situation, and of course, Notre Dame football! He frequently spoke of his love for his family. I will truly miss him, leaving him to the care of our heavenly father
