I had been friends with Bernice for a long time. We used to have swimming exercise classes together, along with going to lunches. I will miss her and am very sorry to hear about her passing.

"Nana" was always so kind and cheerful an a delight to know. She always made me feel welcome and I loved her response to my calls and cards.
I extend my prayers and sympathy to her family. May all the beautiful memories help sustain you.

I have known Bernice as long as I have known her daughter, my best friend Vivian. Bernice was always an important member of each member and generation of her family. Her children, their children, and even down to the great grand children have loved and revered her. I enjoyed surprising her with little gifts of flowers or candy from time to time. I was rewarded with her hand-written thoughtful thank you notes, which I have cherished and kept. Bernice will leave a significant void in this family and also in mine. Rest in Peace!

Nana, I miss u so much already. You were so sweet and always thanked me so much for coming to visit with youwe would depart with kisses and “I love you too”. You really enjoyed your garden when u were a bit more nimble. I hope u have a giant garden of flowers and veggies in heaven. (Please save me lots of your home-grown-tomatoes) . I’ll miss you making me the best Cream of Wheat ever!.all nice and lumpy (just the way I liked it) and letting me have real coffee in my own cup! (Just a splash with tons of cream and sugar!) And I’ll miss the birthday cards that were always a exciting delivery and included cash that matched my age! I know you’re with grandpa Sam. You never stopped talking about him through life. Your stories of him would make u giggle and I could tell you still loved him until the very end. It’s sad your time on earth got cut so short with grandpa but now your together for enternity. I hope he takes you and those “dancing legs” he admired ☺ for a twirl around the heaven.

Sweet Vivian, I am saddened by your loss. I was lucky enough to meet your mother one time. She certainly had a long life and I am sure you have so many good memories. I do know her wonderful daughter and I am blessed to renew our friendship a few years ago. You are in my thoughts. Love, Joe

I know I did not know you but I know your daughter Vivian and she is a light in this world. You must be a very special lady because you sure raised your daughter to be one. Thank you for that. Rest in peace.
