Bernice Oehler Obituary

Oehler, Bernice Jane of Creve Coeur, MO died Wed. August 18, 2010 at the age of 85. She is survived by her children: Kathleen Rogers, Sandra DeVoto, Pamela Sethman, Rhonda Spenner, Renee Jacobson, Kurt Oehler and Andrea Beck. Services: Visitation Friday 4-8 p.m. at BOPP Chapel, 10610 Manchester Rd., Kirkwood. Funeral Service 11 a.m. on Saturday at Parkway United Church of Christ (Historic Sanctuary), 2841 North Ballas Road, Town & Country, 63131. Mrs. Oehler will be interred beside her husband, Richard Oehler, Jr. at the Elm Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Parkway United Church of Christ/Elm Lawn Cemetery.

Dear Kathy, Sandy, Pam, Rhonda, Renee, Kurt and Andrea,

I was so very sorry to hear about your loss of your mother. She was a wonderful lady and I feel as though she helped to raise me. I remember sitting in your kitchen talking to your mom for hours when we were kids, and she was definitely the only mom I knew who would have tolerated the hours we spent using every pot she had and wrecking her kitchen to make the worst applesauce in history. My thoughts are with each of you.
