Blair Farrell Obituary

Blair K. Farrell, 86, died on September 1 in Montrose, Colorado. Born on December 15, 1938, in Colorado Springs, he lived in many places throughout his life but called St. Louis, Missouri, home for many years.

Blair was a photographer, poet, artist, and traveler with a creative eye and a deep appreciation for beauty. He graduated from Regis College and served as a reservist in the United States Air Force. His professional journey spanned both the business and nonprofit sectors, where he brought his talents and leadership to institutions such as the University of Missouri–St. Louis and Webster College, as well as companies including General Electric and Mark Twain Bank.

The pinnacle of his career came with the founding of The Farrell Group, a public relations and marketing firm that reflected his entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to communication. Blair valued honesty, intellectual growth, self-awareness, consciousness of others, productivity, and positivity-principles he strove to live by.

In later years, Blair faced cognitive decline but never lost his sense of justice, love for the mountains, and desire to be close to those he cared about.

He is survived by his daughter Denise (Dennis) Snodgrass; son Shannon (Jamie) Farrell; daughter Erin (Brody Wilson) Farrell; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ramona, his sister Norma, and his wife Kathleen.

Although no formal services will be held, Blair cherished any reason to celebrate. In his honor, please take a moment to enjoy life-and perhaps raise a glass-in memory of a man who embraced it fully.
