Carl Eugene Story, 87, of Hallsville passed away on August 13, 2025.
Carl was born January 5, 1938, in Salem, MO to Luther & Myrtle (Mead) Story. He grew up in Gerald, MO and was a 1956 graduate of Owensville HS. Carl joined the US Army where he proudly served his country stationed in Korea.
Carl was united in marriage to the love of his life, Evelyn Matthews, in 1959.
Carl accepted a job opportunity as a Union Ironworker with Local 396. This opportunity would lead to a lifetime career and eventually resulted in him holding the position of Union Representative prior to retiring in 1999.
Friends are asked to join Carl's family at a celebration of life on August 23, 2025, between 1:00-3:00 p.m. Please contact the family for further details.
