Schwartze, Catherine B.
95 Fortified with Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, formerly of Argyle Missouri, born on October 22 1927, passed away on August 16, 2023. Catherine "Cathy" was the daughter of Stephan and Margaret M. (Boeckmann). She was the youngest, "self-proclaimed baby of the family of twelve that grew up on a farm" and was preceded in death by her brothers August Schwartze (Anges), Frank Schwartze (Marcella), Albert (Ermalinda), Bernard, Schwartze, sisters Mary Koehne (Leo), Christine Renneke (Theodore), Teresa Schwartze, Frances Mary Steinmann (Bill), Sophia Schepker (Jake), Rita Massen
(Ambrose) and Emma Hagen (Robert), Aunt to many nieces & nephews.
Catherine was an avid tennis player in the Saint Louis area, Triple A Tennis Club, Creve Coeur Racquet Club, Forest Lake Tennis Club. Later in life she also played golf, but her true passion was tennis which she played into her late eighties with help from the CCRC staff.
Sunday Mass 9:00 a.m., December 17th, 2023, with Mass Intentions said in honor of Catherine, Saint Richards Church located at 11223 Schuetz Road, Creve Coeur, MO, reception to follow at the parish hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Richards Church.
