Charles Ludwig Obituary

Ludwig, Charles Wm. 'Bill' age 74, fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2005, as a result of cancer.
Dear husband of Dorothy E.
Ludwig (nee Welsh) for 44 years; dear son of the late Rudy and Ethel Ludwig; dear father and
father-in-law of Debbie (Chris) Shoemaker, Michele (Fred)
Gotthardt and Maureen Hamby; dear grandfather of Scott, Ryan,
David, Chrissie, Michael, Gary, Cindy and Joe; great-grandfather of Reece and Carter; beloved brother of Dolores (Ken)
Reichardt and Susan (Terry) Brandt; dear brother-in-law,
uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend to many.
Bill was a 1949 graduate of CBC, joined the Marine Corps in 1951, assigned to special duty at the U.S. Embassy in Rome, honorably discharged in 1956 as a sergeant. Bill was extremely proud of
having served as a United States
Marine. He was a former
member of American Legion Post 35, served as president for two years. He was a member of Plumbers and Pipefitters, Local 562, retiring in 1993.
Services: Funeral Wednesday, December 14 at 9:30 a.m. at JOHN L. ZIEGENHEIN & SON SOUTH COUNTY to St. Matthias the Apostle Catholic Church, 800 Buckley Rd., St. Louis, MO 63125 for 10 a.m. Mass. Visitation
Tuesday, December 13 from 3 to 8 p.m. at ZIEGENHEIN Funeral Home, 4830 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO 63129. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. If
desired, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Charles Ludwig to SSM Hospice at 10143 Paget Drive, St. Louis, MO 63132.
