Worked with Chris on a job in Hannibal supplying valves and he made it so easy by being able to know what he was going to require a week ahead of time. On top of that just a good guy. I'm sure he's getting the job done for GOD now.

Uncle Chris was a wonderful person and role model. I always looked forward to seeing and talking to him at family gatherings, and he always made me smile. He was thoughtful and dependable, one of the "rocks" of the Corrigan clan. He will be greatly missed and forever fondly remembered.

Thank You Corrigan! I believe all is well! Nice touch with the sprinkle of rain as the confetti was falling from the sky.

Okay Corrigan, here goes:

Speaking from the bloodlines of the 1st Pipefitter Corrigan Co. ever hired
And later, a competitor, (after that 1st PF stole your tools & started his own company.)

I was predisposed to not liking you due to all the times your company took
All the gosh darn work in town. Sorry, but couldn’t do it. You were straight up from the start, not a pretense about you, After BBall games, I listened to your stories describing growing up & realized, “Damn, I had it much easier than you did.”

Would of liked to been with you when you hitchhiked to Disneyland – wouldn’t want to be with you when you had to hitchhike to work and no Corrigan employees were allowed to pick you up. I didn’t need early morning wake up calls on weekends either.

You learned the business. You were the last one since the Romans (after the Elephant fiasco) to control Hannibal as you did. I think we really became great friends after the first & last time you ever invited me to Michigan – sorry about that one buddy. Great craic though!

I’ll miss the one-hour lunches that seemed to fill the week. Your info was always solid. Your handshake was better than a legal document. The deals we did were always good ones. You made a great name for yourself, and leave Sean & Patrick a great legacy.

There is one last favor that I ask of you, my good friend. When someone goes to heaven in my family, there is always a sign sent that all is well. Remember now, you were my mentor. For God’s sake, we were both at a hockey game, (a hockey game? Another first & last time event with you.) A Billiken basketball game, yes, but not a hockey game. Anyway, I’m in the darkest hours of my business and I let on to you that I’m thinking of closing up shop. All you said was, “there’s a lot of money in pipes these days”, and damn if we didn’t have one heck of a five year run in business.

So now, I’m asking for a sign, from heaven. Think about it, (I know you were not fond of baseball) , so, I would consider it purposeful if you could somewhat concentrate on this World Series and maybe a little divine intervention on your part to bring that 11th WS title to your old home town?

If not, you’ve done enough, my friend. Your memory will live forever in our hearts.
I love you like I love my dog. You two are similar in many ways, unwavering loyalty,
Always happy to see me no matter my condition, never talked about me and never judged me- just a downright great friend and easy to be around.

Godspeed Corrigan!

Dear Kevin, Dennis and the Corrigan family,
I am deeply sorry to hear of Chris's passing, it is very difficult to lose a sibling. It did warm my heart that he was still a "plumber". My best to you all. The "farmer" from Washington.

My deepest sympathies to the Corrigan clan. Chris was one of my best friends in high school and we spent many weekend nights together. Chris gave me a nickname in 9th grade at Chaminade that has stuck all these years and still amuses friends. He was my mother's favorite "friend of mine". Although, we didn't really keep in touch we have talked a few times over the years and it seemed as if time stood still. He has been and will be remembered by my family for the wonderful, kind, funny person he was. He is in many photo albums from high school and in our wedding pics.

I hadn't seen Chris in several years, but we worked together at the American Cyanamid plant in Hannibal MO. We traveled on golf trips and there were many stories told and many that could be told.
I was shocked and saddened to hear of his death, my heartfelt condolences to his family, he had a good heart.

Last talked passing through on 09-19 - his team had just sunk a long putt for birdie (a snake!) and he was happy as a kid in a candy store! Once I fixed his slice -- blamed me for every hook for decades thereafter! Introduced himself at the MAC -- as a plumber...yeah, some plumber! Can't think of a brighter wit or more caring man. Gray, Susan and I will miss you, friend -- Rest In Peace

Chris will always be one of the best friends I've ever had. We hung out a lot in high school and Mizzou. After college we always lived in different towns and unfortunately found it hard to spend much time together but when we did it was like we didn't skip a beat. He just had that quality. I will miss his honesty, sincerity, sense of humor and friendship. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Corrigan family.

I knew Chris in High School and although we never kept up after that, I remember him as one of the good guys. He was always friendly, funny, he excelled in sports, had a lot of friends and was well liked by both students and teachers. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Sean,Pat and Katie, I am heartbroken for your family. Hanna called me on Sunday and time just seemed to stop. My thoughts are with you and the boys.

I will always remember Chris with his big smile and quick sense of humor. His concern for people was genuine and something I will never forget. Hanna told me many times over the years that if my dad, her grandfather, couldn't walk her down the aisle she wanted Chris to. He really was very special to many people.
We love you and share in your sorrow.

I found out on Sunday that Chris had died, and it still doesn't seem real to me. I have been a friend of Sean and Pat's for years, since elementary school. Chris was like a father to me, he was there for me when mine was not, and he always had a smile on his face. I have so many memories with the Corrigan family (Sean, Pat, Katie and Chris) that I would not trade for the world. I will miss Mr. Corrigan very much, he was a very kind man and a great father to his sons and a father figure to me; I feel very honored to have had him in my life. May he know how celebrated he is by his surviving family.

It is so rare to meet a person that is as giving and as kind to complete strangers as they are to the people that they love. We only knew Chris for a few years, but he was truly one of a kind. We can't imagine how many lives he has touched by his random acts of kindness. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Fifteen years ago I had to meet her trusted friend Chris before I could take Janis out: he was that kind of friend. I will miss him and his wry humor sitting next to me at Billiken basketball games. And taste testing hot dogs. And dreaming up Humphrey's next best selling sandwich. I'm very sad but remembering the fun and Chris' uninhibited laugh.

I will miss "Rick Ledbetter you never call or write, and I'm not in your top 50 friends". Every conversation started that way, well Chris was at the top of my friends and he will be sorely missed. He was truly a good guy, a good friend, and had the best sense of humer. I will miss him a lot. My condolence to all of his family.

Just played golf with Chris a few weeks ago, like the way he lived his life, his birdies out-numbered his bogeys.

I only met and knew Chris in the past year and I am so glad that I did. What a wonderful person, great sense of humor, and creative outlook on life and living. When the last putt dropped, we were laughing and smiling. Topped with a steak at Annie Gunn's. Doesn't get much better. He will be missed.

Chris had such a gentle soul. He was always thinking of others. He was generous and truly cared about the people he was around. He was so appreciative and full of thanks when I sold him his condo and always had a kind word when he ate in our restaurant. There was always a feeling of peace while spending time with Chris. Our hearts are absolutely breaking for his family. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and we are wishing for your peace and comfort. He will truly be missed.
