Claiborne was my 2nd cousin, or something like that. When our lives intersected occasionally she always spoke of her children.I'm so sorry to discover her loss; and to send my sympathy so late. She and her husband Avrom were both delightful and hospitable people. Since our families are connected, You may want to know the rest of this. When my dad (John Bernard Faust) was recalled to Washington in 1950, housing was extremely scarce. Mom and I and my older brothers Owen and Lucien spent the summer on the Phillips farm, a formative experience for me. Come September, the older kids went back to college; Mom and I stayed with Cousin Virginia, I went next door to Maret school for 6th grade and slept in Claiborne's room. That was the year dad broke his leg. By the following summer we were able to rent a house Then dad retired and we moved to Florida, so I didn't see Claiborne for years. Once her husband Avrom found found himself in in Oklahoma Cify on businerss; ; we had lunch and I was fascinated by his ideas for keeping industrial dust contained. My second husband and I drove through St. Louis occasionally on our way east, and greatly enjoyed stopping by to visit for a day or two. The picture is me in 2014

Claiborne, we will miss you! A mentor to me as a young lawyer at then Union Electric and a lifelong friend! She would listen tirelessly as Av would patiently try to make into the kind of gardener he once was...it never happened.
Your watercolor paintings of James and Madeline, our twins, at age 3 still hold a place of honor in our dining room. They leave for college this fall.
Rest well Claiborne...we love you.

I knew Claiborne from doing work for the legal department at UE. She was a fine woman, and became a friend. RIP. Richard D. Schreiber

I probably met Claiborne when I was a teenager - about 50 years ago. She was strong, sweet & creative. Love her

So sorry for the family's loss. In the days ahead, may you find comfort in the God of loyal love and in the promise found at 2 Thessalonians 2:16,17
