I am a 1974 graduate of SLU´s accelerated BSN program. I vividly recall Mrs. Tierney´s kindness and support of me and my fellow students in this intensive program. In gratitude for her support I have contributed to the SLU scholarship in Mrs. Tierney´s name and will make future contributions to this scholarship to honor her role in the establishment and growth of this program. I am grateful beyond words for Mrs. Tierney´s role in this program and her support of its students.

I was in the accelerated class of 1982. The program, then and now, was strenuous both intellectually and emotionally. Clarice made it easier than it would otherwise have been. I will always remember her gentle spirit, her ' thank you for sharing,' and the smiley faces on the care plans.

I remember your Mother and your Father well. John was one of our most jolly participants and your Mother served on our Board of Directors with her friends Dorothy Sassenrath-Bohning, and Patricia Demuth. We are the poorer because of your Mother's death. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers

Clarice's foresight and leadership gave so many of us a rewarding career in nursing. She was a wonderful person - a mother to those of us who came to SLU from out of state to attend her program and I know she will be missed. Condolences to the family.
