Dear Greg, I have just learned of your tragic loss. Please know that you, Kyle, and your family are in our prayers. May God bless you during this time of sorrow. I will always remember Codey as that goofy kid riding his scooter around the block making so much noise and waking Joey from his naps.

Greg ...
To simply say I'm sorry for your tragic loss seems terribly inadequate
but there are not enough words in the dictionary to fully express my feelings of sorrow. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. May God bless you...

Dear Sandy: Jane called me yesterday and told me what happened. I am so sorry for your loss. It has been so long since we have seen each other yet the memories of the summer vacations spent with you and your family are fresh in my mind. I never met Codey but I can imagine he was quite a young man and Jane told me she was very impressed by him. It is a tragedy. He had his whole life before him. My thoughts are with you.

Greg,
Nineteen years seems like too short a time to make a difference in this world. It is apparent from reading the guest book that Codey made a difference and touched a lot of people.
Greg, as a business partner, you have my respect and admiration. As a friend, you have my sympathy and prayers.
I am sorry for all you have lost.
God bless you through your grief.

My dearest Greg and Family,
How does one find the words to convey the depth of sadness and pain at a time like this? I offer you my best. My son wrote this poem and I would like to share it with you in Codey's memory.
Grace Only Now Known
Breeze through my shirt sun on my lips
Clouds in the sky give me a kiss
Never go home through nature I roam
Time's more drawn out, Grace Only Now Known
Watch the rabbits they nibble on grass
Watch birds in the sky they fly oh so fast
See a giant near death, a tree laid down to rest
But mixed in the mess, bugs find a new home
A glimmer of hope, Grace Only Now Known
Jake Entwistle
I know you and you son were very close and you will have many precious memories to help you in this painful period. Those times you spent together will be your saving grace. Keep your memories of all the good times you shared with your son close to your heart and let them be for you your glimmer of hope.
All my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

To the Brunkhorst Family,
I knew Codey from school and I enjoyed my time with him very much. He was a sweet, well-mannered young man that treated every precious living being as he wanted to be treated. He will forever remain in the hearts of all his class mates from Union High and will hold a very special place in my heart forever. If there is anything me or my family can do to help you out in this time, please feel free to contact me.

I am so very sorry to hear about the loss of your son and grandson. Losing a child is something no parent should have to go through. It’s hard to understand why a child goes before a parent and even harder to except that loss. I understand what all of you are going through since I lost a child. God only loans us a child, and when He decides to call that loan He has a reason that only He knows. I’ll keep all of you in my prayers. Lloyd and Annette, your classmates will all be thinking of you and your family. If you need us, we’re here. God Bless you.

Please accept my sympathy in the loss of your son. He will live on in your hearts and memories forever. I would never wish this on any parent, it is so hard to understand. Stay strong and feel free to contact me if I can be of any support to you in the future as my husband and I have also experienced the loss of our 20 year old son in 2007. Our prayers are with you as you begin your grief journey.
