Corrine "Connie" Pohlman

Pohlman, Corrine Connie Corrine Ida Pohlman died March 28, 2011 at the age of 85. She was born Nov. 8, 1925 in Freeburg, Illinois to Walter F. and Hilda M. (Weaver) Mueller. She married Wilbert Pohlman on Feb. 8, 1947. To this union were born two sons, Michael and David. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister Mildred Schwartz; a brother Harold Mueller; and her beloved Willie her husband of 63 years. Left to mourn are: sons Michael (Virginia) of Madison, WI; David (Linda) of Valles Mines, MO; four grandchildren: Elizabeth (Alex) McQuillen, Amy (Eric) Schaper, Zachary (Aly) Pohlman, and Heidi (Ken) McConnell; six great-grandchildren Carter and Brenan Schaper, Miles and Mason McPheeters, Maxine McConnell, and Jack McQuillen; one sister Bernice (James) Dieckbernd, nieces and nephews. Always on the go, Connie loved to travel and belonged to several golf and bowling leagues. A woman of indomitable will she was devoted to her family and left an indelible impression on anyone she met. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. The family would like to thank all of the staff of Delmar Gardens South for the compassionate care shown to Connie. Services: Visitation at KUTIS AFFTON Chapel, 10151 Gravois, Friday, April 1, 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. with a brief service to follow 12:30 p.m. at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
