I am so sad you just find our about Dr Aubuchon. I was getting ready to have him operate on my foot. He fixed my foot 30 years ago when I was a young girl. He was a wonderful surgeon and very nice man. Terrible tragedy. :(

Dr. Aubuchon was instrumental in (at the time, late 80's) ground-breaking knee surgery for my father Bob Pank. My wife is now contemplating knee surgery and it made me think of Dr. Aubuchon. Eternally thankful...

I just learned of Dr. Aubuchon's passing, and am very saddened to hear this. I was a patient, and during my visits we would also discuss his friendship with the Drury family which I am acquainted with as well. He was a wonderful doctor and person, and I will miss him. I was a longtime patient of Craigs. I just saw this and I'm so shocked! He will be missed by so many. My late husband, Roger Berkbigler, had gone through Grade School with Craigs Dad, Duke.
Craig was a fine Orthopaedic Dr. & Surgeon. I always felt like I was well taken care of. I'm so very sorry for the loss of a Dear husband, Father and Grandfather.

I was a patient of Dr.Aubuchon's for many years. Last September he performed a knee replacement on me. I joked with him at the time, that my punch card said I would get my 6th surgery free! After completing 5 surgeries with him. He had a wonderful laugh. I once wore one of the "red noses" as he entered the exam room and saw my nose, he burst into laughter. We talked travel, I knew from listening to him how much he loved his family. He was an excellent surgeon and a wonderful human being! So sorry for your loss.

I as shocked to hear of Dr. Aubuchon passing. When I had my accident he operated on my foot and knee. Just an all around good guy, and much respected. I remember him seeing me after his skiing incident, I joked and said, do you need the name of my guy to fix that?
He was always chipper and had a great smile. My heart goes out to his family. He will be deeply missed.

After hearing this sad news today, words are difficult to express my deepest sympathy to Dr. Aubuchon's family. He did major surgery on both of my ankles, with the recent one in December. I saw him just a few weeks ago for a cortisone shot and we laughed about him going to watch the Blues last game at Ball Park Village - having his wife drop him off. My heart goes out to his family and colleagues as you mourn the loss of not only a great physician, but a wonderful person. May the Greatest Physician, Jesus Christ, bring peace to your broken hearts at this time.

Heartbroken cannot even convey my feelings and sadness. May his family know how special Dr. Aubuchon was in all that he did. As a patient, I can say he treated me as family rather than just another surgery. I will miss many things, but will miss his laughter and compassion as a doctor the most. We are heartbroken and at a loss for words to express our sadness for this sudden loss. Having known Craig since high school days in Ohio, we have many years of fond memories to cherish. We have always enjoyed his friendship, his gift of story telling, the beautiful family he raised, and like many, his medical knowledge and advice. We will certainly miss his contagious laughter! I worked with Dr.Aubuchon at Mercy Hospital for 35 years as a nurse on the orthopedic floor and later as a nurse in the surgery center. He was a beautiful person who loved his job. He will be sorely missed by his family, friends, coworkers and patients. This is a true tragedy! My thoughts and prayers are with his wife, children and grandchildren.

I worked with Doctor A at Mercy in the Operating Room for more years than I can count. While he was focused and did his job with the utmost of care for his patients, he always found time to make me laugh. I can still hear his voice when he told a funny story or asked about certain things in my life that he found funny. I'm going to miss the fact that he was someone who genuinely cared about those who worked with him. He was truly one of a kind and will be missed terribly by all whose lives he touched.. May he have eternal peace and for those who are left behind please know how many lives he touched and find comfort in knowing he was a great man and is in the arms of our loving God ❤

I have been a patient of Dr. Aubuchon's for several years, and last year he repaired my drop-foot injury. I am so heartbroken, as I am sure we all are. He was such a wonderful doctor and a wonderful person. He would always offer a kind smile and reassure me that I would feel better soon. Last Christmas, when I gave him chocolate truffles and pecan pie bars (which I made), he grinned and shook the box up by his ear like a little kid at Christmas. I saw a personal side of him I hadn't seen before, and liked him even more than I already did, if that was possible! I would like to extend my sincerest condolences and prayers to his family. I am so very sorry for your loss.

I am so heartbroken to hear about Dr Aubuchon. I have gone to him for all my various fractures and sprains for 25 years. From my broken arm "Don't worry, Linda, even the bones of monkeys in the jungle heal - you'll be fine" to the latest fracture and surgery - "Linda, if you did this long ago, you'd never walk again !! " Thanks to him, I am walking and running and biking . Wonderful doctor . . . and human being !!!

Just looking in STL Today when I saw and recognize Dr. Aubuchon face and read the article regarding his passing. I was totally shock. I had a knee replacement in 2015 and Dr. Aubuchon was the surgeon and I was still seeing him for cortisone shots for the other knee, most recently in June. A wonderful person that would always greet you with a smile and conversations. I would like to offer my most sincere condolences to his family and friends. May God be with you and give you strength to carry on.

Dr. Aubuchon was a thoughtful, compassionate and joyful person who shared his love of his family and travel with many of us who had the privilege of knowing him as a terrific surgeon. He was the first doctor we met when we moved to St. Louis 30 years ago, and we have stayed in touch off and on ever since. My last ortho visit was very early May of this year - and he was so excited about Kathryn's up coming marriage , and his family trip plans. Kathryn should know, he talked on and on about plans for the November (I think) wedding, and how proud he was of her and all his children.. My heart goes out to his family. Family was always #1 with him, and all I can think is God must have needed him badly to take him at this time. May his family be blessed with strength to go on and continue sharing his light in the ways he would surely wish.

Dr. Aubuchon was my husband Terry Moran's doctor for many years. Terry always had feet issues from his long time diabetes. Dr. Aubuchon was always so encouraging and did such a great job. Dr. Aubuchon and Terry always talked MIZZOU football. Terry lost his right foot in October 2016 and later passed November 2016. Dr. Aubuchon showed me so much compassion and kindness. I am sure they are together again. I am so devasted for you Karen as I know how it feels to lose the man you love....I am so sorry for your entire family. We were blessed to have known him.

I am so sorry for your tragic loss. I was a 25 year patient of Dr. Aubuchon dating back to 1987. I suffered a horrific sports injury to my right leg and Dr. Aubuchon did miraculous work to save my leg. For that I will always remember him. He was the very best.

I was so very sad to hear of Dr. Aubuchons passing. He was my physician several years ago following a bad ankle injury. He worked so hard with me for close to 2 years trying to get me full use of my ankle again (he succeeded!). Ill never forget how kind and encouraging he was to me throughout the whole process and my many office visits. I will be forever grateful to have been under the care of someone who truly cared about my outcome and giving me my life back. My heart is filled with sadness with the loss of a wonderful doctor. Dr. Aubuchon first became my doctor in 1997. He has helped relieve some of the pain I have experienced most of my life. He became the doctor of choice when my friends and coworkers were in need of doctor in his specialty. I did this without thinking twice. Your family has been on my mind and in my prayers since hearing of your loss. He will be missed greatly by me and Im sure many more. He always asked me questions about what I did for a living and would compare them with what his son did for a living. He was so proud of his family. Please know the world has lost a great man, great son, husband, father, grandfather and last but not least doctor and friend. Your family are in my thoughts and prayers. God be with you.

You're in our hearts and prayers, Karen and family. It was truly an honor and pleasure knowing Craig. One of my last and best memories of him will always be a followup visit at his office with him digging out his cell phone and frantically searching for a picture of Brian and Cat's new baby girl. Phones were ringing and patients were piling up, but his priority was taking a minute to share a pic of the newest love of his life. I am so sad about Craigs passing and pray every day for the recovery and healing of his family. I was an Operating Room Nurse and worked very closely with Craig for over 30 years at Mercy. We talked often of our families. He was so proud of his. His passing is a true loss for the community.
